Among the segment's sins: poor show notes and no timestamps for different discussions.
There's some good discussion on existential risk(s) (middle-ish), a segment toward the end on the practice, evolution, technology, and business of podcasting (focusing excessively on Rhymes-With-Schmoe-Brogan, but with good bits despite that), history, and other bits.
Also, for a change, the guest speaks more than Lex, and Dan's got the far superior podcasting voice.
I'll probably listen again.

I'm not a fan of Lex Fridman's podcast generally (Because Reasons)...
... and 3h26 minutes is far too long ...
... but ...
... Dan Carlin's appearance is actually a pretty good interview.
IMO it should have been split into 5 or 10 segements of 20--40 minutes, rather than one massive bolus of nearly 210 minutes. But it covers a lot of interesting ground, with only a few digressions into Fridman's rather predictable and less-than-illuminating areas.

It also makes me think I might want to subscribe to Carlin's podcast. (He's "The History Guy" on YouTube, and I've caught a few of his episodes there. IMO this interview is more interesting than many of those.)

The History of the #Robertson and #Phillips head #screw and #screwdriver, by #TheHistoryGuy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-mDqKtivuI
Quite an interesting video. I hadn't actually heard of the #RobertsonScrew yet before, which apparently still is quite popular in Canada.
