To więcej niż precyzyjnie ułożone puzzle, których pojedyncze elementy znajdują właściwie miejsca w całym obrazie, bowiem nierzadko okazuje się, że na przykład pozornie przypadkowe sceny czy dialogi z początku fabuły stają się w pełni zrozumiałe dopiero na ostatnich kadrach. Analogicznie ma się sprawa z „Wielkie Kiedy”. To fantastyczna powieść rozgrywająca się w realiach powojennej Wielkiej Brytanii.

But the joke/surprise came over very well in audio.

Author #AlanMoore has included a (?) penultimate chapter on the late life of the main character, about 50 years after we get to know him.
Old age. Infirm. Resigned. On the border of terrified. Failed marriage with his true love heavy in memory.
And also the kicker.
Alone and isolated.

I'm listening to #TheGreatWhen by #AlanMoore.I'm not sure how to rate it's darkness. It's dark for me. Though since my disappointment with that Iain Banks book which featured the chair made from bones I haven't gone searching for dark.
Tangent: A relative had an Audible account but forgot how to check email etc and so Audible closed thr account. AIUI they lost all access to the previously downloaded books when the account closed. Not clear if you've got that covered.

Now reminded of #DouglasAdams, slight melancholy, some whimsey, somewhat clueless central character interacts with others.
