La perte des glaces arctiques est prochaine (d'ici 20 ans, aka arctic BOE) et entraînera un dérèglement inusité du climat, notablement dans l'hémisphère nord où est située la majorité des surfaces agricoles. Une explosion du prix des aliments est à prévoir, si on ne retire pas "du marché" les denrées essentielles.
