of course, the story is set before the revolution, and thus the russian language would have been written using slightly different orthography, but i think this is acceptable, because the game's japanese, at least when it comes to kana, is also written using modern orthography and not the historical style

kinda surprised that this game, or at least the localization of it, got surprisingly decent russian in it
"vilen borshevik" actually works both as an ace attorney pun name and as a legitimate, if anachronistic, russian name
"vilen" is an early soviet-era name that is short for "Vladimir Ilyich LENin" -- shortly after the revolution, there was a craze to give kids entirely new names referencing the revolutionary figures
"borshevik" is the russian name for the heracleum plant, common in eastern europe to the point of being considered a weed

CW: Great Ace Attorney Case 3
This is... Kind of another prologue? I liked the turnabout here and the deeper mystery. It adds a grander narrative to the cases. I wonder whether case 4 will finally be a traditional Ace Attorney case or holds another surprise. #AceAttorney #TheGreatAceAttorney #NintendoSwitch

@herrbischoff Going after obvious statements and guessing what game WANTS you to present or press is an annoying formula indeed, it's like a curse of #AceAttorney games. At least, in #AceAttorneySpiritOfJustice and #TheGreatAceAttorney they tried something with contradiction mechanics (Divination Seance and Summation Examination respectively). I entertained myself to the Logic mechanic in #AceAttorneyInvestigations, even though some data points were plain silly and it was of usual occurence that two pieces don't click together (Edgeworth conjures a lot of stuff up).
I wonder what #AceAttorney7 will be like with all this baggage...

While I was waiting for my Windows partition to die a slow and painful death (😅) I also decided to start #TheGreatAceAttorney 2: Resolve.
It was a perfect distraction and I'm very excited that it picks up one of the loose threads from the first game immediately in the very first court case. Looking forward to where this is going. 🙂

By the way, I have a playlist with funny highlights of #TheGreatAceAttorney 1-1: first half is Taisa and her friends playing, of which I made cuts, and second - silly parody that I made in #Plotagon. :rickhey:

I also promised to myself to NOT play #TheGreatAceAttorney before I finish the trilogy, so I'm also very excited about finally getting to play them! ^^ In English for now, hopefully in Japanese when I get better!

I would love for another #AceAttorney to come out. Give me, give me :blobcheerbounce:
Or at least another #TheGreatAceAttorney. Or #AceAttorneyInvestigations. Just any #game in that universe. I'm not that picky. I just need my occasional dose of dorkiness paired with serious life lessons and drama.

CW: Great Ace Attorney Case 1
I really liked the first case. The characters are unique and totally crazy and the case was OK (even though I'll need to get used to not having forensic methods at hand). I didn't like the length though. These first cases get longer and longer with each game. I bet you can finish the first AA case in 30 minutes. #AceAttorney #TheGreatAceAttorney #NintendoSwitch
