John Jewel, Anglican bishop, on 1 Thes 4:6, not taking advantage. Usury, as in requiring much for giving little, “undoes” those whom they “aid”: as useful to the poor as rust is to iron.

To be clear, he is not talking about a fanatical opposition to any interest, but clearly talking about exploitation of a needy person.
