Dig this cover of Bowie's classic from that album with the other songs where he's standin' there, smokin' a cigarette with long hair and bellbottoms. I think.

The production has that Tret-Reznor-era, "Dude. Check out what #protools can do!" sound, which I happen to enjoy.

Auf dem Hype Sticker steht zwar „Their first new album in 25 years“ aber ich denke es war das 2003er Album „The New Folk Implosion“ mit dem sie mich vor 21 Jahren begeistern konnten. In dieses muss ich mich wohl erst reinfinden.

I dug Sebadoh since I first heard them in the 90s. Lou from Sebadoh has another project with John Davis (confusingly, NOT the guy from Superdrag) called The Folk Implosion, and you may have heard their songs on the KIDS soundtrack (Natural One had a cool video, and there was also Daddy Never Understood).

But THIS is The Folk Implosion's first LP from 1994, 'Take a Look Inside...'. https://thefolkimplosion.bandcamp.com/album/take-a-look-inside

I found this CD back then in one of those cool little CD shops that used to exist in the mid 90s. I was HOOKED on this album then, and I recently revisited it.

I was amused when I realized that MANY of these odd, short songs just LIVE in my head all the time.

It's a rad record.
