Last movie for this weekend: Disney's "The Emperor's New Groove."
I am actually not sure if it's a watch or a re-watch, as I can't remember if I ever saw the movie itself or just the memes.
I DID certainly watch the TV series.Anyway, it's a fun movie. The visual gags and humor in general was still really fun. I don't like Kuzco, I mean, I guess that's kinda his thing.
So, yeah, the fact that it's a good movie is certainly thanks to Yzma and, and I think most people will agree, Kronk, who's just awesome and deserves the many fun memes he was responsible for.
And Patrick Warburton once again does a great job at his voice acting.
(Me complimenting a self-decladed conservative 😱)So yeah, more Kronk and Yzma is good. And the squirrel was also nice and cute!

Some cute housewares caught my attention today.
1. Fans of #TheEmperorsNewGroove will like this mug of #Yzma as a kitten with the potion.
2. The monorail as corn cob holders. What a great idea!
3. #ChipAndDale on a sandwich keeper. How cute!

CW: feral nsfw, llama kuzco
A whiny, needy emperor in human form still translates to a whiny, needy llama expecting all his needs to be met immediately. 🦙❤️
second piece is a commissioned work for Luden! originally posted May 2020 & July 2021

I watched The Sweatbox recently and I've had Snuff Out the Light stuck in my head ever since. It's easily my favorite Disney villain song, which is extra funny because it never got released as a villain song.
For anyone who doesn't know, The Emperor's New Groove was going to be a movie called Kingdom of the Son that was modeled off of the Prince and the Pauper, but it was way too complicated and confusing (and frankly a little dumb), so they scrapped it. Some of the music kinda slapped though. :abongocatheart:
Also, massive shoutout to the late Eartha Kitt who does not get enough love. Eartha Kitt imperiled her entire career by standing up to Lydon B. Johnson and trashing the Vietnam War so hard that the CIA started a smear campaign against her. She was an incredible badass. :blobfoxheartcute: She was also avidly pro-LGBTQ+ and referred to it as a civil rights issue. I miss that lady.

Turned my ultrawide monitor to be vertical so I can take some screenshots. When I went into MacOS Settings to rotate it 90 degrees, it rotated the wrong way and everything was upside-down. All I could think of was #Yzma from #TheEmperorsNewGroove bellowing, “WRONG LEVER!” 😂

The Crazy History of The Emperor's New Groove: The Alternate Version & The Sweatbox
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbRVLqN0ExsThe cult classic #Disney movie that broke the Broadway-Disney rules. It came without singing. It came without dancing. It began as a dramatic, Incan version of PrinceAndThePaulper book. But unsatisfied producers caused a change. Sting left, then came back. And #Dreamworks was ever at their heels. This is the story of #TheEmperorsNewGroove.

@ReverseModule Love this song. Such a shame it was cut from the film when they totally reframed the whole narrative and decided to just leave in that odd Tom Jones bit. Much prefer the Eartha Kitt original though.

The Sweatbox Documentary
This has been on my must-watch list for a looooong time. It's a documentary that just so happens to capture the implosion of a Disney film at the tail end of the Renaissance period of the studio.
