I'd heard some pretty poor reviews of The Electric State but decided to give it a watch this evening and thought it was reasonably good. Nothing surprising, nothing innovative, but an enjoyable couple of hours with nice imagery, okay set pieces, and emotional elements enough to make my wife sob a little, although that's an admittedly low bar.

I'm just going to say it - there are worse movies than The Electric State. I can see people's complaints with it, but it held my attention and was mildly entertaining. I feel like it got dog piled

It has no business costing as much to make as it did.

It's no worse than the minecraft movie and I actually paid for me and my kids to see that. The fact that one can be a success and the other panned, seems odd.

#TalesFromTheLoop is a horribly underrated series on #Primevideo. Based on a series of #scifi paintings by Swede Simon #Stålenhag, and powered by music by #PhilipGlass, the series is beautifully filmed, meditative and more evocative than #TheElectricState (also based on Simon’s work). Each episode is a mini sculpture of humans and storytelling.

Though I admit it requires the right mindset to fully enjoy.

One time I went into the Man Cave to see a part of it, male & female were fighting a robot in a cave & running like hell for the exit as the mountain & caves explode behind them. Both male & female were covered in dirt. Cut to next scene, female's makeup is perfect, hair is perfect. No dust/dirt. C'MON!!!

Mamma mia che recensioni negative per #TheElectricState. Magari non avrà il tocco magico di un #film come #Bumblebee (sarà che lì c'era Spielberg dietro le quinte?) ma è assolutamente godibile. E quando i protagonisti salgono sul bus al suono di I fought the law dei Clash anche qualcosa in più. I 320 milioni di dollari non li abbiamo spesi noi, non c'è motivo di arrabbiarsi! True story: When I couldn't find a shirt like this, I bought a white t-shirt and a fabric marker and I fucking made one.

Newer, sadder, true story: I've tried to watch this terrible movie twice, and haven't made it past the intro scenes. It's so incredibly bad. I only know about the t-shirt because of the honest trailer.
