The Electric State asks a lot of you. It asks you to believe robots can be arrested with their hands behind their back like human.
It asks you to think touching robots is the same as touching humans.
And more importantly it asks you to believe if a robot is responsible for saving all the other robots world-wide, a robot religion wouldn't be born and robots would be okay with that body being thrown in the trash.

Tonight's terrible sci fi movie is The Electric State. Cost $320million, every single cliché and trope is utterly beaten to death in this slog of CGI. You honestly hope everyone dies just to make it end.
That awful Chris Pratt is in it as well.

I'd heard some pretty poor reviews of The Electric State but decided to give it a watch this evening and thought it was reasonably good. Nothing surprising, nothing innovative, but an enjoyable couple of hours with nice imagery, okay set pieces, and emotional elements enough to make my wife sob a little, although that's an admittedly low bar.

I'm just going to say it - there are worse movies than The Electric State. I can see people's complaints with it, but it held my attention and was mildly entertaining. I feel like it got dog piled
It has no business costing as much to make as it did.
It's no worse than the minecraft movie and I actually paid for me and my kids to see that. The fact that one can be a success and the other panned, seems odd.

#TalesFromTheLoop is a horribly underrated series on #Primevideo. Based on a series of #scifi paintings by Swede Simon #Stålenhag, and powered by music by #PhilipGlass, the series is beautifully filmed, meditative and more evocative than #TheElectricState (also based on Simon’s work). Each episode is a mini sculpture of humans and storytelling.
Though I admit it requires the right mindset to fully enjoy.
