Imagine if we could do half the things with the Liffey that they do in other cities.
It’s a lifeline that runs through our home, but it can be a real amenity too. It was great to get out kayaking to film on the Liffey over the weekend.
Dublin has brilliant summers, it would be great to spend them enjoying our river. A big part of that will involve cleaning it up, and keeping it looked after, something I will fight for.

With just three weeks to go it’s really heating up, but we’re in with a real chance and the positivity I’m seeing on the doors is showing that. Let’s send a message to the government and opposition parties that they can’t turn their back on our environment, and the climate, that people want clean air and water, better infrastructure, more greenery, and cheaper, cleaner energy.

If we want to make cycling safe for young people we have to invest in infrastructure, watered down and poorly designed infrastructure only leads to increased frustration.

The housing that Dublin deserves and needs won’t be easy to deliver, and there are lots of pieces of the puzzle that need to be pushed, these are just some of the ideas that are needed.
We also need to rezone lands, expand our transport network to accommodate unlock more areas for high density housing, and should be bringing life back into our core by bringing more apartments above shops back into use.
This is the Dublin we deserve.

Remember when Capel Street used to be choked up with traffic?
Now it’s full of people relaxing enjoying local businesses, cycling through to get to their next destination, sitting on the benches, or taking a leisurely stroll chatting with their mates.
I’m proud to have pushed for this change. We pushed back against the scaremongering and created a street that people love so much.
This is the Dublin we deserve.

Do you think the North Inner city needs more Casinos and slot machines? My answer is no. Thanks to all who supported my petition against it.
I’m delighted to see that the Casino planning application was rejected! We’ll be keeping an eye on it though because the owners have the option to appeal, and have also broken planning rules before.

It was so great to meet Hannah Spencer today in Denton and talk about both of our Bye-Election campaigns. Hannah has proved that a message of hope in the face of hate, and positivity can really resonate with people. That doesn’t mean ignoring serious issues or abandoning your values, but bringing solutions instead of just negativity.
