[P] One thing I failed to remark upon is the sheer sociopathy of having Zym's first spoken words be a dumb joke. I mean, thanks to some of the worst writing I'd had to endure in years leading to his parents dying in the most plot macguffin-y way possible? His first words should've been honouring his parents. Only a sociopath could've written that for Zym, and only a sociopath could've enjoyed it.
Too many sociopaths; not enough empaths.

[P] I mean, one of my longest-running frustrations is with how they don't really think about anything. They just don't. They only fetishise and angrily use noise and numbers to silence thought. A younger me learned that decades ago, and every shred of evidence since has only confirmed this. They just don't like thinking. It's why they never learn from being disappointed, there's no self-reflection, no dumination, no seeking.

[P] Of course hiverarchy doesn't recognise that their fetish for rot is the problem, either. Ha, no. That would require self-awareness and long-term thinking. No, the entropy-fetishists lay the blame upon ever trying aught but rot. "Oh, if only they would've atuck to rot and entropy alone, then they could've built a foundation." I could frustratedly ask how one builds a foundation upon rot, but... I know better.

[P] So, yes, everyone agrees that the culmination of TDP was rubbish, it's just that the tragedy-seekers were so surprised that you can't build a foundation upon rot, after demanding naught but narrative rot (tragedy). The sheer lack of self-awareness is genuinely incredible, but it no longer surprises me. Had Wonderstorm stayed the course they had in season 4 and ignored the entropy-fetishists? TDP could've been remarkable. C'est la vie.
