Performed on a luscious pink stage - it is Valentine's Day, after all. The female co-vocalist is Katrina Phillips, she puts in a more assertive performance, just about stealing the show from Terry Hall.
But it's Terry Hall's song, calm and reflective, and hopeful. And yeah, one for my squeeze over the way...

Years ago, I was sitting around a table with James Taylor (of JTQ) and Danny Wilson (of 'The Second Summer of Love') waiting for filming to start on a TV show, when Terry Hall walked in with Dave Stewart. James, Danny & I said to each other how much we admired Terry Hall's work, but felt unable to speak to him. Still a bit stunned to realize what a great and highly underrated contribution #TerryHall of #TheSpecials #FunBoyThree #TheColourfield #TheLightningSeeds had made to the #SoundtrackOfMyLife and just about every song I ever knew by him, and some I'm just digging n and discovering tonight, in retrospect, now seem extra poignant, tremendous and far more wonderfully worthwhile than the American music marketplace general consensus #gatekeepers had ever given him credit for. So glad I got to see him a few times before he was taken away from us this week at age 63.

Thinking of Terry. RIP #terryhall He'll always be remembered for The Specials, rightly so, but Virgins and Philistines by #TheColourField was a pretty fab album too.
