So sorry to hear about the loss of Hamish Kilgour. Beyond the charged magic of The Clean's music, I've always loved his solo work, especially "Crazy Radiance" which has a ragged yet determined persistence:

@staticsafe in the 1990s #LoFi used to describe a sort of cross between #punk and #indie, like #Ween, or #Beck, or #TheClean, or the #TallDwarfs. Stuff recorded on 4-track and 8-track tapes in people's bedrooms. It expanded to include stuff influenced by them, like #Pavement, who sounded like they were recorded in someone's bedroom, but I don't think they were. No idea what LoFi means now, or why it's applied to stuff that sounds to me like #TripHop or #DownBeat.
