Went to Academy & Living Room this past week or so.
Cheap as heck movie tickets! 😋
Gonna check out all the theatres in the metro with my friend. -
Learnt there’s lots of affordable theatres ‘round here, and I’m very miffed about the fact I paid for Regal tickets a handful of times in the past. 😭

Just watched Une Fugue by Agnes Patron. Walked out from the remaining short film programme just to stay in its dreamy mood a little more.

Watching Masters of the Universe. Greatest film ever made.

We watched Obsession last night. I am feeling a bit mentally fragile at the moment for a reason or two but fucking hell did that film leave me a mess. It's very very good, but it's not a fun horror. Thankfully a good night's sleep shook off the vibes it left me with. Inde Navarrette is a ridiculous talent.

Watched 'Feel My Voice' aka 'Non Abbiam Bisogno Di Parole' which was a surprisingly beautiful small Italian movie.
The story is about a teenage girl. She's the only hearing member of a deaf family, discovers she has a talent for singing & learns to believe in herself through her passion for singing. A lovely simple story film just to enjoy, with real deaf actors. Recommended watching.

watched Evil Dead Burn today.
the dialogue at times felt like it snapped forward too fast, but the horror stayed exactly on point, where we knew it to be - three years after Rise, a thin layer of sublime visceral shock now again coats our entire body like glue. enjoyed.

We watched The Drama tonight. Best looking film I've ever seen. It was perfect in every other aspect too until the final final scene which I thought was a misstep. Literally the last 30 seconds though, I was laughing out loud throughout the rest of the film. Me and S had a chat about the worst things we'd ever done afterwards.

I'm watching Cronenberg's original Crimes of the Future from 1970. Not really paying attention to the plot but the architecture is beautiful. The narrator's voice is a little annoying, but I like that the film is completely overdubbed, largely silent with abstract sounds here and there.

#DueSpicci / #My2Cents — the new series by #Zerocalcare — was amazing. Was going to limit myself to one episode a day but I couldn't resist, I had to know how it ends.
Out of the three series, this may be the wildest. -
wHY did no one tell me there was a new #Zerocalcare series??? :eyes_fast: :flan_popcorn:

Dylan Reibling’s documentary “The End of the Internet” is an amazing film so much so that I’m going to go see it again. I recommend everyone who uses the internet to watch it, i.e. all of youse!
@techfordemocracy are hosting a screening at Revue Cinema on May 29. Get on it if you can!

We watched La Bataille d'Alger last night after learning about it in One Battle After Another. I think that might be one of the best movie I have ever seen.

The Banshees of Inisherin(2022).
A black tragicomedy I really enjoyed, set in 1920's Ireland.

#LongStoryShort is getting my "never skipped the intro" certification. :neofox_uwu:
So many nice little details, especially on the second watching, when you can properly get the feeeels for each of them. :neofox_cry:

Read an article about Seawatch in the local street newspaper Augustin and watched this short Arte documentary (German) afterwards. It gives a good impression on how skewed the European values are and how they seem to end at its borders. #theCinema
