The other night in #TheChat, I was reminded that, for many years I thought that Twoflower the Agatean tourist in the Discworld books literally had four eyes, because he was described as having four eyes.
I have been a spectacles-wearer since I was 7, yet somehow I didn't clock that it was a reference to him wearing glasses. I am not a smart man.
HOWEVER, I was vindicated when someone noted that apparently Josh Kirby, the cover artist for the early books didn't clock it either, according to Twoflower's depiction on the cover of The Colour of Magic.

Finally finished catching up with the bits I missed live on Monday evening, and the following are things I WOULD have added to #TheChat had I been around at the time.
1. Is this the platonic HMHB tune? It's VERY HMHB.
2. I was once lucky enough to see Ross Noble in a theatre I'd helped to design.
3. Mambo No. 5 is SUCH a sunny tune! Thanks to its association with cricket it always makes me think back fondly to summers in England. -

During last night's show, in #TheChat, @RolloTreadway posted a link to a video of Lord Kitchener singing on the Windrush, having just arrived in London in 1948. It's a fascinating artifact, not least because of the positive tone of the report about a ship full of men coming to the UK for work.
