Over the weekend, conservative outlet The Blaze released a story that claimed to identify the Jan. 6 attempted pipe bomber as a former Capitol Police officer who later joined the CIA. It was grist to the mill for right wingers who have long believed that the laying of the bombs was an inside job. But now, the story is falling apart. @TheBulwark explains the full story.

This is really sad. #RightWing rag, #TheBlaze, is trying to use the view count of #Trump awful interview with #ElonMusk as some sort of testament to Trump's fitness as a #presidentialCandidate. To be clear, the view count is an utterly irrelevant metric, and it says nothing about the quality of the interview, or the fitness of the candidate. The viewers were Trump fanboys who would watch him take a shit, and people who like watching trainwrecks.

Whenever #GlennBeck's #rightwing trash-rag #TheBlaze wants to promote offensive lies about someone, they publish the article with a generic "Blaze TV Staff" byline rather than the name of the writer. This way, there's no individual to direct outrage at. It's just another in a long line of #disgusting behavior by the right.

#TheBlaze’s new #BlazeNews operation is interesting. Necessary, most likely, and the new sections look interesting, but it will never succeed if people don’t share the articles, and unfortunately, they seem to be abandoning all social media as a way to share their stories.
They really should make their own instance on the #Fediverse to share these articles, even if it’s just #RSS bots akin to the ones we have for #TheVerge.
