I'm watching #TheBirdcage for the first time and adoring the performances of Robin Williams and Nathan Lane. Watching Williams just breaks my heart all over again.
It's interesting seeing this in 2024 vs. when it came out in 1996. I know why it caused such a stir back then...but I wouldn't be surprised if the right-wing conservative outrage exploded in nuclear proportions if this movie were first released today.
Also, what Val does to his two dads is unconscionable.
