The Finn-Morris twins (Alanna and Brianne) in Fionn are half Irish on their father’s side. He emigrated to Canada and played in an Irish music band.

If you like The Beaches you’ll probably like Fionn. The Beaches also have an Irish heritage. I work with a cousin of the Miller sisters. I only discovered the connection recently. Small world.

I like The Beaches' earlier music more than their latest album. The latest album tries to replicate what they did with the Blame My Ex album, which is understandable. It was a huge success and contained their “overnight success” single after a decade of building an audience.

The latest album is competent, but it doesn’t move me like the Late Show album and the EPs from 2019 to 2021 do. Plus, Everything is Boring is a fantastic song 🥰

I listened to the No Hard Feelings album Dolby Atmos mix from start to finish on my living room HomePod Stereo pair. It sounds good. The drumming in the mix is great. Eliza Enman-McDaniel drumming up a storm.

The album is growing on me. I don’t think I’d include any tracks from it in my favourite songs by The Beaches. But that might change over time.
