I chaperoned some high schoolers on a trip to Broadway yesterday.
Hadestown was better than I'd anticipated & no one got arrested.
That's what I call a win!

Well, (stage) slap my face and call me Cassie, 'cause this Broadway baby is always gonna pop a hip and break into song.
In my experience, #TheatreKids "run the world" because the performing arts teach #leadership and self-initiative. #Theatre in particular, is primarily about communication, both linguistic and nonverbal (design and body language/movement). What high-level profession wouldn't benefit from those skills?

Tonight was the opening show for Arts Umbrella's "Winter Shorts" theatre festival. The senior troupe and the junior troupe combined to put on a piece called "Chaos", which was excellent. This was the first time - ever - that both my kids were in the same production together!
You can see it tomorrow night too, 7pm at the AU Jack Poole Theatre.
