Next stage of my final study of the Major from from Ghost in the Shell, I applied watercolour paint. Still need to tint the labels on the spines. Then inking.
The paint is Kuretake Gansai Tambi, very pleasant to work with, even though it's not professional quality.

I started on my final study of the Major from from Ghost in the Shell, using a mechanical pencil and nice watercolour paper. Next, apply my new watercolour paint to it, then inking.

The final coloured-in version of the study I posted last week (https://merveilles.town/@wim_v12e/116312339205250398) and which complements the previous one (https://merveilles.town/@wim_v12e/116273585455601655).
I will do another study of this character (the Major from from Ghost in the Shell), using a slightly different technique and better paper.

A study for the second character in the double-portrait I am planning.
It's based on a scene from Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig Episode 11 "Affection", but the look of the character, Motoko Kusanagi (草薙素子) is based on 攻殻機動隊 ARISE.
The next step is to apply watercolour to it. I will do another study of this part to experiment with different techniques and eventually move on to the full drawing.

A month ago I posted the first stage of a study I made (https://merveilles.town/@wim_v12e/116103939009843763) I've finally finished it.
It's based on a scene from Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig Episode 11 "Affection".
In Japanese the title is 草迷宮 (kusameikyuu). It means "Kusanagi's labyrinth", but there is more it. You could call it a homage. It's going to be a double portrait, I've started on the study for the second character, and you know of course who that will be.

I made a study for a drawing I'm planning, another double portrait based on a scene from Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd Gig. Maybe you can guess which scene. The Japanese text provides a very oblique clue, if you can read my handwriting.
Next stage is to apply watercolour to it.
