Okay so the Act III soliloquy (I'm calling it that) was good. It didn't balance out the movie. It wasn't earned, and I wouldn't say anyone should watch the first two third of the movie for one speech.
The movie didn't know how to blend it's potential into a product. Too focused on being dramatic.
At least it didn't as we feared focus on the relationship directly.
The movie just lingers way too long on the wrong bits of the story.
