I see these as horror comedies and (maybe accidental) art films, and the second turns it up without - for me, at least - tearing it. So they're both great, but the second is just a little better. ^_^

@ConspiracyOfCartographers It's so good. And the sequel - I know not everyone agrees, but for me, it's even better. <3 I _know_ it makes even less sense and that's part of why I love it so. (Most critically, it never crosses the line into simple randomness.)

I've been thinking about finding/compiling a list of the most visually beautiful ones, and making sure I've seen them.
This is inspired by my having recently gone on a #VincentPrice kick and watched #TheAbominableDrPhibes which was like a revelation of Holy Crap This Is Art. I think the plot might be silly but I didn't actually notice the plot, the sets and props were just... wow.
I also only just got around to watching the original #suspiria which likewise, makes that list.
