One Step Beyond is a B&W seires that reminds me of the old Twilight Zone series, but (if I'm not mistaken) One Step Beyond was released the same year but earlier than The Twilight Zone.
So it would be The Twilight Zone that copied One Step Beyond.
This would make this situation like the one between Oreo and Hydrox.
Oreo copied Hydrox, but flourished.

Why does S1 E7 of The Twilight Zone have the MOST (unintentionally) hilarious high-drama dialogue ever?
I'm not mocking the emotional sincerity of the episode - TTZ always HITS - but sometimes the retro-futuristic terminology and PRONUNCIATION just SLAYS me…
In every single original TTZ episode they pronounce "robot" as "ROWbutt" and these men screaming at each other:
SHE'S A ROWBUTT!
SHE'S NOT A ROWBUTT, SHE'S A WOMAN!!!Gawd, it really is a genuinely moving scene and episode, but FUCK that is JUST AS FUNNY every time I re-watch it.
(And this is why if you were using a spy gadget listening device on me, you'd hear me mutter in muted tones of outrage and horror: "SHE'S A ROWBUTT!!!" to myself every now and then apropos of nothing.)
