  1. THE TUBS
    Dead Meat
    2023 U.S. pressing

For the last 3 years, I’ve been having a passionate love affair with The Tubs.

It was absolute love at first listen, & they are without a doubt my favorite band of the past 10 years, and it’s not even close.

This was their 1st album, & it was the first one I heard.
Like the following two albums, the songs are wonderfully constructed; jangly, catchy, and heartfelt.

Their sense of melody is some upper- echelon shit, the lyrics are great, the rhythm section is fantastic… everything about this band is just fantastic.
Not a single bad (or even AVERAGE) song in their entire catalog.

If you don’t know The Tubs, please get to.
    Start with Dead Meat.
You’ll be glad you did, I promise.

It always ends up that THESE kinds of bands don’t last long.
I’m hoping that’s not the case with The Tubs.
    Amazing shit.

  5. THE TUBS
    Hard Life
    2026 U.S. pressing
    Yellow + Blue swirl vinyl

One of my favorite bands of the last ten years.
I absolutely adored their first record Dead Meat, which is a stone cold banger, and was hands down my favorite album of 2023.

Since then, their following two albums (Cotton Crown, THIS), have kept the excellent standard going.
    Scruffy, jangly irresistible songcraft.

I placed a special order through my local shop for a vinyl copy of Cotton Crown, which frustratingly, still hasn’t shown up.
Once I procure that, I’ll have all of em.

If you’re unfamiliar with The Tubs, please give them a chance.

They’re a band with tons of heart, soul, and great songs.
A great band to root for.

I’m hoping they stick around for quite some time.

  14. Three rather different concerts in three days. One of the bands I hadn't even heard before, but was the band I REALLY wanted to see, another was more like "why not", and one felt more like a duty (but not only that, of course). Which is which is up for guessing:

    The Tubs

  18. Adieu, Trouble in Mind

    TROUBLE IN MIND RECORDS: 2009-2025

FRENZ.

In conclusione: SOSTENETE SEMPRE GLI ARTISTI E LE ETICHETTE INDIPENDENTI, PROTEGGETE LE PERSONE TRANS, FUCK ICE, LIBERATE LA PALESTINA e che tutti i vostri gratta e vinci siano vincenti.

    Adieu, Trouble in Mind!
