Imagine if #WeirdAlYankovic had not released any of his satirical polka medleys over the last 40 years 🪗🤔

It might have been a clean slate for some norteño star to cross-over if not for him extending its “white and nerdy” shelf-life 🧳

I really want to interview Leroy from the Dreadnoughts and #WeirdAl again to talk about polka

I interviewed Al and asked about his Accordions which was really interesting and fun

But when I interviewed his drummer Bermuda Schwartz, I mentioned #polka and he admitted he didn’t know anything about it really and just took his cues from Al

Leroy from #theDreadnoughts’ point is that Al doesn’t play community dance music

He puts on a great show for his fans to watch

So apparently the guy from #TheDreadnoughts thinks #WeirdAl killed #polka?
I looked at some of the bands he listed as "real good polka", and they're just not very fun. Weird Al is.
