At the end of the month, I am doing a #ThatConference "Open Space" on how to build a retrieval-augmented generation app using #Python, #LangChain, and #Ollama. I am calling it "Crafting Intelligent Python Apps with Retrieval-Augmented Generation" (https://that.us/activities/5EI62c1gogbMFYMqilkP). At the end of August, I am going to be at #DevCon Midwest (https://events.nvisia.com/conference/be3edb0f-815e-48dd-9826-9b62f6fbc93a) giving the talk "The Scoop on Embedding: Teaching Language Models, the 'Flavor of the Day' at Culvers." Back in April, Ollama added the ability to natively do embedding. The new talk is going to focus on that instead of using LangChain.

I find embedding to be a really cool concept (especially when you're using an AI model that is 100% local).
