  1. I’ve just taken a lovely trip to A&E under the advice from my GP as I had a pine needle in my ear canal. How did it get there you may ask; it fell in whilst I struggled to stop the Xmas tree from falling over!? #berk #nhs #ThankYouNHS

  6. I can't say this enough: time and time again the #NHS has come through to look after people, some that i know and loads that i don't. I know there are issues that we see amd read about, but i am grateful to all the people that work tirelesslely all hours to help strangers that come in for help. So, #ThankYouNHS . We are lucky to have you.

  23. To the #paramedics, #doctors and #nurses who worked on Brenda for hours, you were awesome, so kind and respectful. Our #NHS is truly wonderful and we should never, ever lose it. #ThankYouNHS

  28. Without the #NHS I wouldn’t be alive. I was extremely premature, lucky to survive. 22 years later I developed a rare progressive #neuro disease and received free life saving health and medical support ever since. In countries with private healthcare and/or insurance systems people with my diagnosis can die, cos can’t afford fees, or their insurance doesn’t cover chronic illness, or insurer doesn’t understand why strong chemo is needed and refuses. NHS saves lives like mine. #ThankYouNHS. #NHS75

  33. I give thanks to the NHS today, on its 75th birthday. If it weren't for the NHS, I wouldn't be 39, I would most likely have died shortly after birth due to a heart defect.

My second son would have likely died of #Meningitis at 4 months old.

If it weren't for the NHS, I'd either be dead or in perpetual debt to repay the hospital bills.

  38. I love the #NHS

They’ve put me back together more than once, safely delivered my two difficult children, keeping them and their mum alive too. They worked with my Grandma and her MS, treated my Grandad’s heart attacks, my mum’s cancers, and are just generally incredible!

Over the past few days they’ve diagnosed, operated on, and cared for my son, whipping out his appendix in double quick time… and that’s even with the HORRIFIC pressure the service is under!

    Always #ThankYouNHS #SaveTheNHS

  42. Many of us are lucky enough to be enjoying another bank holiday today, but I think it’s important to take a moment to thank all the people who don’t get the day off, especially those working extremely hard on the front line of our National Health Service.

    Thank you
