I had not seen these before. Nicely organized, easy to access, already converted to text etc. And reading in their words is quite compelling - it’s all about slavery.Seidule’s Robert E Lee and Me had a profound impact on me, largely because he’s similar to me (privileged white guy, Army Vet, largely ignorant of what’s going on around me, etc.).

Sadly, the behavior of the Republican politicians is consistent with my experience: self-righteous in their ignorance.Likewise, the utter lack of empathy from the audience is troubling - many studiously look away, not even at each other, clearly uncomfortable. I suspect because they think of themselves as “Christians” and feel the cognitive dissonance associated with turning their backs on their neighbors.
And they’re all white cowards in my experience.

This was really good, profound almost. Nearly made me want to return to the military in a training / mentoring capacity to encourage Soldiers to adopt AI as their own, to be creative, to innovate, and to fail.
