#TGCFCloneWeek - "imperfection"
Hua Cheng pokes at the clone standing before him. He has to get this design right before he wears it to greet Xie Lian! He's erased his various imperfections - his missing eye, his death scar, the way he towers over Xie Lian - but this "San Lang" is still far from ready.
"Fingertips," he orders. The clone obediently shows its hands. Yes, he has unique fingerprints. Just checking.
"Hair," he says. The clone turns around, and Hua Cheng inspects its ponytail. Nothing is out of place or ghost-like.
So why does he still feel unprepared? Or perhaps the better question is: will he ever feel prepared to meet his god?
Hua Cheng sighs and considers starting over.

Finally scraped something together for #TGCFcloneweek day 2 - Doubt
Even now, Shi Qingxuan can't decide. Did they ignore the signs for their own comfort? Did He Xuan as Ming xiong slip around him? Was she supposed to notice?
Shi Qingxuan never saw it.
Why?
Arrogance, ignorance, equally inexcusable.
Whatever the case, Shi Qingxuan can't keep from combing over their memories every night.
There were so many days, so many unimportant people. Not that he ever thought the lowest heavenly official was really unimportant, but he didn't think he knew them. She thought it was just coincidence, shared snips of body language or tone. It's not unusual to see pieces of a person you love wherever they may be reflected in others.
It was never just coincindence with He Xuan though.
Shi Qingxuan can see it now, can think, remember between cold breezes that pull them back from rest. He can almost count how many people, how many heavenly officials, how many clones He Xuan was to her.
Only almost of course.
The thing she's most certain of now, after the end of everything is that she doesn't deserve the chance to know.
