CW: Transformation Talk: Dreams
No art for this week's #tftueday, so let's talk about transformations in dreams. Do you ever dream about transforming? How visual and detailed can they be for you? Is it you transforming or are you witnessing someone else changing. And do you have any lingering "phantom" feelings when waking up?
So for me, I had a pretty intense dream of transforming into an anthro orca last night. For context of how my dreams usually are, I have a high level of aphantasia, the unability to visualize. When I try to visualize anything, it's like trying to view it on a black and white television full of static and out of focus, but I can only see the content of the tv in the corner of my eye. That kind of visualization makes my dreams more physical. I could "feel" the sensation of my skin changing, feeling the new rubbery skin stretch as my new fins and tail grew in. The sensation of webbing growing between my fingers and toes. The pressure as my nails grew sharp and large. As I woke up, I had some slight phantom sensations on my fingertips, and where my dorsal fin and tail grew in.

The view of the full moon from this forest was very lovely, but it seemed to come with some surprising side effects!
At least the locals here seem friendly...This is actually loosely based off of a very old Pokémon fanfic that someone I was acquainted with back in the early 2000s wrote. I thought of it a couple years ago and realized it'd make a pretty good commission idea.

If you're curious, yes, I own ~multiple~ yellow hats irl like the one I usually wear in my formerly human depictions now. It's become a good indicator that it, well... WAS me when I get a TF piece. I'll usually wear it at conventions, but I don't think anyone's recognized me from it yet lol
