A wider view of part of the c1490 funeral pall at the Commandery, Worcester, Fleurs-de-Lys and six-winged angels standing on wheels, with saints in the borders. By tradition it was used for Prince Arthur's funeral in 1502, though there's no documentary evidence to support this. #TextileTuesday

Doctor, Doctor!
Printed on silk by Manuela Cerezo in Puebla Mexico in 1746, this "thesis" broadside meant to impress a special guest at a PhD defense, the Archbishop of Hispaniola... Hope all the embroidery, printed (and real) lace and general expense meant that the student passed with flying colors!

Day 16: I probably should have saved this one for #TextileTuesday, but decided to share it today.
I love creating textiles. Here's one of my favorite scarves. The pattern is created with one of my Generative Art particle systems inspired by Chemistry and Physics.

Last June for Pride month I biked my sewing machine over to Page Street, and someone with a cargo bike brought a table, and we made custom pride flags.

Einbandsammlung, you say? https://opacplus.bsb-muenchen.de/title/BV045491046… Another copy at Berlin StaBi also has a fantastic pictorial binding: https://digital.staatsbibliothek-berlin.de/werkansicht?PPN=PPN735007993&PHYSID=PHYS_0001&DMDID=… #TextileTuesday

@artcollisions I love that idea!
I've been experimenting with printing my art on fabric and making scarves.
Photographing them, has been a challenge for me.
