Neither WINZ or ACC, nor their overseeing ministries or ministers, ought to be allowed to choose the medical reviewers who assess applications for disability-related benefits. Instead they ought to be chosen by Whaikaha (Ministry of Disabled People) and Te Whatu Ora (Ministry of Health).

CW: Manage My Health Data Theft
Bugger - four letters from Te Whatu Ora to my medical centre are in the data that has been taken from Manage My Health. The letters include basic identify information. - eg name and address, NHI number, date of birth, and mobile number. The footer to the letter says "To receive an electronic copy of your hospital letters, talk to your GP practice about signing up to a consumer portal". Te Whatu Ora has been actively promoting the use of Manage My Health. Any inquiry should include looking into the extent to which Te Whatu Ora had responsibly assessed the risks before promoting (and continuing to promote) Manage My Health. #ManageMyHealth #TeWhatuOra

Here's another example of the lack of digital sovereignty in our public health system. A survey about a recent experience at the local hospital's A+E department.
Not only is this survey system clearly not being run by the boffins at Te Whatu Ora, it's not even being served from a subdomain of tewhatuora.govt.nz. But from forms.office.com, a domain controlled by the original US technofeudalists, BorgSoft.

Today
- I have just had surgery after a year long wait.
- I am receiving fantastic care from the lovely team in the recovery room.
- I am extremely grateful that I live in a country where we have healthcare that is publicly funded and accessible.

CW: NZ politics.
New Minister—and therefore, new CEO?

"The country's ambulance service is funded by Te Whatu Ora - Heath New Zealand and ACC, which fund about 82 percent of the service, at a cost of about $380 million a year.
The rest is made up through donations, and a part charge of $98 for patients transported by ambulance."

This is ludicrous. We don't end up with a bill when we call firefighters to a fire. Why aren't ambulance services full funded?

Is being easily offended a symptom of Covid? (Or of AntiVax Syndrome?) https://www.nzherald.co.nz/kahu/health-nz-staffer-told-to-stop-using-kia-ora-and-nga-mihi-in-emails-to-patients/A5ROU2ZVINBXHAYGSSNKR55YU4/ #TeWhatuOra

Huh? Why?!?
"A Powerpoint released under the OIA noted 'the word *sovereignty* is receiving a negative reaction from some'."
