Tetris 99 makes me feel better about my Tetris skills. One time I got to like 44 or something. (I was playing it for the Xenoblade X theme and had never played this version before, helps a little to know pro Tetris strats though; weird that they use the menu opening sound for when it goes from the "searching for players" thing to where you can target players [does this count as PVP in Xenoblade X?]).

these vocal tracks go hard... getting that win i won't spoil the song haha. Protip, make an empty lobby and play with bots.
This theme has neat features like blacking out the bg when you're under attack.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition is pre-loaded, but I can't play it yet. What I did do was unlock the Tetris 99 Xenoblade Chronicles X theme so that I can forever have the threat of "Black Tar" stopping mid-song whenever I lose.

My Sunday morning Tetris99 sesh whilst acquiring the new Splatoon 3 theme resulted in a surprise top ten/equal personal best at #5.
(I promise I won't post about this game again unless I ever manage to get a #4 result or better. 😉)

Something I appreciate about Tetris 99 is its daily challenge system. Yeah, it can be a dark pattern, nudging players to keep playing even when it's no longer fun. But Tetris 99 also gives you a *stopping* point. You've earned all your tickets for today? No more nudges. It doesn't slot in a new mission when you beat one.
Considering that the experience depends on lots of people playing this is some remarkable restraint.
