Checking my old profile on tetr.io, I actually got to 2m02s on the 40 lines in 2020.
In Puyo Puyo Tetris I’ve been struggling to get down from the 2m30s range.Skill issue, I certainly lost a lot (not that I ever had much) in the times I haven’t played, but all my times in tetr.io seem to be under 2m30s.

I'm actually getting a bit into #tetrio ranked games now and I'm sad to discover it's as bad as I feared.
Most of the people I've fought against so far start with an opener then drop off hard after that.
As somebody who *hasn't* memorized openers for 10 hours, this means a lapse in judgement in the first 20 seconds is an instant loss, otherwise I often win.
This just isn't fun game design IMO. Tetris Effect just doesn't have this issue because of multiple different gameplay factors.
