  1. Huge relief in #London as #terrorists arrested in #TrafalgarSquare.

Elizabeth Morley, aged 80, was one of hundreds of terrorists arrested by #MetPol #MetropolitanPolice under the #TerrorismAct2000 for holding a small, hand-written, paper sign in support of #PalestineAction.

The dangerous Morley said the mass arrests are a “very stupid thing to do”.

The ban of Palestine Action was ruled unlawful by the #HighCourt in February 2026.

  2. “MET POLICE FAILED TO FOLLOW INTERNAL GUIDELINES ON POLICING PALESTINE PROTESTS”

by Amaar Chowdhury in Declassified UK

“It’s a legal right in the UK to criticise the government’s decision to ban a group and to call for de-proscription.

The MPS [Metropolitan Police Service] acknowledged this in its internal guidance from last July, the same document which says that holding a sign calling for de-proscription alone does not suggest membership of a proscribed organisation and that individuals have to actively express support for a proscribed group for this to be an offence.

The force has nevertheless repeatedly prevented protesters from exercising these rights, although it’s unclear just how many have been arrested for this”

  4. @bart The disinformation is from you. Greta was arrested for supporting opponents of genocide.

#PalestineAction is labelled as "#terrorist" because it takes direct action to OPPOSE #genocide. This is abuse of the #TerrorismAct2000, which Parliament was assured wouldn't be used against protesters. It also inverts the reality that #Israel's so-called #IDF is engaged in systematic #terrorism against #Palestinians in #Gaza.

You are acting as a propagandist for genocide, writing lies to smear. #Bye

  5. Video: “Since our governments have refused to halt this genocide, we must!”

by Chris Hedges in the Chris Hedges Channel on YT

“We must demand that the courageous hunger strikers with #PalestineAction be released from jail on bail, and that we repeal the acts and laws that criminalize dissidence”

  6. More #heroic protection of #publicSafety this week in #England.

In Dortmund Square, #Leeds, #WestYorkshirePolice arrested 21 dangerous #terrorists, who held cardboard signs opposing #genocide in #Gaza and supporting #PalestineAction.

This #terrorist was #singing like an angel, which is of course the most deadly form of terrorism ever invented. If police had not intervened forcefully, thousands of people could have been uninjured. Thank god for the #TerrorismAct2000!

  7. Demonstrators arrested at #PalestineAction event

    Mariam Issimdar, August 16, 2025

"More than a dozen people have been arrested in Norwich city centre for showing support for Palestine Action, which has recently been proscribed by the government as a terrorist organisation.

"Norfolk Police said 13 people 'holding placards showing support' for the group were arrested outside City Hall during the protest, which started at 12:30 BST.

"They were held on suspicion of displaying an item in support of a proscribed organisation, contrary to #Section13 of the #TerrorismAct2000.

"Five people were taken to Wymondham police station for questioning while the other eight were de-arrested after they gave their details to police.

"A 14th person had a sign seized by officers.

"The force said the protest was over by 14:00 BST.

"Supt Wes Hornigold said: 'We will always work to facilitate peaceful protest and protect the democratic right to assembly. However, the actions of this group were unlawful.

" 'Our officers' role is to prevent disorder, damage and disruption in the local community and they will use their powers to do this. Any breaches of the law will be dealt with.'

"The arrests came a day after the Metropolitan Police said a further 60 people would be prosecuted for supporting Palestine Action."

  8. UN #HumanRights chief criticises UK #PalestineAction ban

    by Sam Francis
    July 25, 2025

" 'The UK government's ban on Palestine Action is a 'disturbing' misuse of counter-terrorism legislation, the United Nations' human rights chief has warned.

"Volker Turk urged the government to lift the ban on the group, calling it 'disproportionate and unnecessary.'

"Earlier this month, Palestine Action was proscribed by the UK Government under the #TerrorismAct2000 after activists claimed responsibility for spraying two military aircraft with red paint causing an estimated £7m worth of damage.

"The decision is currently being challenged in the High Court with a judgment due at the end of the month. The Home Office has been contacted for a comment.
Palestine Action ban 'abuse of power', court told

"The ban means that membership of, or support for, Palestine Action is now a criminal offence punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

"More than 170 people have been arrested since the ban was introduced, under the #TerrorismAct of 2000.

"Turk, who has been the UN's high commissioner for human rights since 2022, said the ban 'appears disproportionate and unnecessary'.

" 'It limits the rights of many people involved with and supportive of Palestine Action who have not themselves engaged in any underlying criminal activity but rather exercised their rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association,' Turk said.

" 'As such, it appears to constitute an impermissible restriction on those rights that is at odds with the UK's obligations under international human rights law.' "

  9. Arrests made in #ParliamentSquare as pro-#PalestineAction protests held across #UK

Dozens of #protesters assembled in central #London on Saturday afternoon

Sami Quadri, Megan Howe, July 19, 2025

"Fifty-five people have been arrested for displaying #placards in support of proscribed group Palestine Action, Met Police has said.

"Demonstrations are taking place in cities including London, #Manchester, #Edinburgh, #Bristol and #Truro after the group was officially proscribed as a terrorist organisation two weeks ago.

"Dozens of protesters assembled in Parliament Square on Saturday afternoon holding white placards that read: 'I oppose #genocide, I support Palestine Action.'

"Some demonstrators were led away in handcuffs, while others were carried off by officers. In a post on X, the Metropolitan Police said: 'Officers have moved in and arrests are taking place.'

"Police said the 55 people arrested were arrested under Section 13 of the #TerrorismAct 2000.

"The Met had previously said around 70 people were arrested at similar protests in Parliament Square over the past two weekends.

"#DefendOurJuries, the group coordinating the campaign, claims a total of 120 people have now been arrested across the UK.

"The force warned that anyone expressing support for Palestine Action was likely to be arrested, adding that officers were also monitoring for chants such as 'death to the #IDF', led by punk-rap duo #BobVylan at #GlastonburyFestival.

"The ban, under the #TerrorismAct2000, makes it a criminal offence to be a member of or show support for the group — with a maximum sentence of up to 14 years in prison. Wearing a badge or #TShirt bearing the group’s name now carries a potential six-month jail term.

"Palestine Action co-founder #HudaAmmori is seeking to challenge the ban, with a hearing to determine whether a judicial review can proceed set to take place at the High Court on Monday."
