Wenn man am Eidersperrewerk von der Aussichtsplattform runterschaut, sind dort dicht an dicht solche Szenen. Hier wird gerade ein kleiner Fisch als Geschenk überreicht.
Die Küstenseeschwalbe hat hier übrigens die südliche Grenze ihres Brutgebiets. Die meisten gehen im Sommer lieber in die Arktis.

Mein Nachbar belächelt mich seit einem Jahr für mein #tern R14, mit dem vom Kind bis zum Wocheneinkauf mit Anhänger alles transportiert wird. Das Auto wird ausschließlich für die Fahrt zur Schwiegermutter im Hinterland ohne ÖPNV und den Urlaub genutzt.
Hab ihm heut vorgerechnet, dass ich wenn ich jede Woche meinen 500er Akku laden würde und selbst bei 20% Verlust bei ca. 10€ pro Jahr liege. Für 2500 km. Hab ihn gefragt, wie weit er so mit seinem BMW kommt. Irgendwie hat er nimmer gelächelt.

Whisper of a Tern

I’ve said before that a photograph doesn’t need to be perfect to be worth enjoying. This soft image of a royal tern (Thalasseus maximus) is a good example. The bird is turning toward me mid‑flight, almost as if it knows I’m trying to catch the moment.

I took the shot while drifting down the Savannah River on a riverboat, with several terns following along behind us. There was something gentle about the way this one broke formation and angled toward me, wings open, light softening everything around it. Imperfect, yes—but full of life.

Step into a world where even the smallest moments—like the glint in a bird's eye—tell their own story.

Little Tern Flyby
This is quite a small tern with just 25cm body and 41cm wingspan. They are very fast and agile and because of that a lot trickier to get a good picture of then i first anticipated :D

So, nach einer unfreiwilligen 15km #Fahrradtour (Termin falsch gemerkt) muss ich mal wieder feststellen:

Es ist ein krasser Unterschied ob ich an einem #Samstag morgen mit #Tern GSD00 #Lastenrad und großem Aufbau über eine auch wegen der frühen Uhrzeit wenig befahrene Strecke fahre, oder mit meinem #Stevens #Pendlerrad morgens im #Berufsverkehr in die #Innenstadt.

Die Leute fahren deutlich entspannter (jedenfalls die allermeisten), selbst der Taxifahrer hat komplett abgebremst als er mir entgegenkam um mich vorbeizulassen (in einer für Fahrradverkehr in Gegenrichtung freigegebenen #Einbahnstraße!). Schade, dass das nicht immer so sein kann.
