Tenstorrent decided to publish the first benchmark data for Ascalon's RVV implementation using the instruction throughput benchmark of my rvv-bench benchmark suite. <3

Overall, the results look really good so far:
* Most instructions have an inverse throughput of 0.5/0.5/2/4 for LMUL=1/2/4/8, even vslide1up/down, 64-bit vmulh, viota, vpopc and integer reductions
* 0.5/0.5/2/4 for vector-scalar/immediate compares (0.5/2/4/8 for vector-vector) and 0.5/1/2/- for narrowing instructions (see "Microarchitecture speculations" section)
* dual-issue vrgather, with good scaling: 0.5/1/8/30
* dual-issue vcompress, with OK scaling: 0.5/3/6/17 (I still think this could get close to linear)
* Fault-only-first loads seem to have no overhead
* Segmented load/stores look quite fast, even the more exotic ones like seg7
* Ovlt behavior isn't supported, but I don't really care much about it -

Got around to porting the #tenstorrent #grayskull e75 to sifive's unmatched rev_b #risc_v devboard.
The patch should enable both support for non-x86 architectures and riscv support for the grayskull e150.
The port has rough edges and could definitely benefit from some extra eyes.

Building up a box related to work from my brother's bricked ASRock Rack C25504di (c2000 bug) that I unbricked with the help of two resistors and the TPM header.
3D printed up a mounting adapter for the m.2 adapters for the Supermicro SC505 case, which I think turned out super well. Need to make a slight adjustment before I publish it. There's enough Z height to stack them, but I'm not doing that on this go.
This will end up with a Tenstorrent e75 Grayskull based AI card in it. Not 100% sure what I'll use the AI cores for yet, maybe try and get it talking to Frigate?
All told, amusing little build.

AI chip startup Tenstorrent has announced a partnership with Samsung to manufacture its next-generation products, hinting at potential future collaborations in the RISC-V space. Tenstorrent is looking to become an alternative to Nvidia in the AI hardware sector and uses RISC-V CPU cores in its products. While this deal has Samsung manufacturing Tenstorrent's Quasar chiplet using the SF4X process and 4nm architecture, both companies are interested in RISC-V and AI for datacenter and automotive solutions. Samsung is an official member of the RISC-V Software Ecosystem, and this partnership could help the company expand its presence in the open processor design space.
