#ThursDeath this week is the excellent new LP by Kingsport, Tennessee's PISSROT - their sophomore full length, 'Absolute Form'. It's gross, nasty, and heavy, and it slogs and churns. Been listening to a lot of this one.

This week's #ThursDeath is a huge contender this year - it surprised me and grew on me. Seymour, Tennessee's EXORENCY and their new LP 'Obsecration of Immortal Flesh' is a banger of a metal record. Real OSDM feel - riffs for days, killer drums, small amount of black metal screech vocal, less than Skeletonwitch. They remind me of Skeletonwitch sometimes, but no thrash here. Exorency is definitely more on the cavernous, death/doom side.

#ThursDeath time. I've massively dug Nashville, Tennessee's ACT OF IMPALEMENT since I first ran across them in 2023. Their record that year was one of my top favorites, metal or otherwise. This year, they have a new LP, 'Profane Altar', and it's RIDICULOUSLY great (of course). 8 tracks of crushing, brutal war metal you won't want to miss. Act of Impalement are a major metal contender again this year. 🔥

Kingsport, Tennessee's PISSROT are a new find this year, and perfect for #ThursDeath. Some of these guys are in several other metal projects too. They just put out an LP for their (now defunct) project Roachwhore this year, and some members also have a powerviolence band too (Donkee Dick).

These two songs on Pissrot's 'Soaked in Slop' EP are great, crushing and brutal testaments as to what Pissrot can do.
