Tennessee Republicans have some whoop-ass coming their way. Between their insane abortion ideas, their outright refusal to address the growing gun violence problem in the state, and their overtly racist, anti-democratic expulsion of two black lawmakers, it's clear they are disconnected from their constituents, and have no intention of being reasonable. Election Day will be a day a reckoning for these enemies of the people.

I'm not seeing anything whatsoever about legal action against the Tennessee GOP for expelling Democratic legislators for purely political reasons. My grandparents were from Tennessee and I was born when they moved to Philadelphia with their six daughters, oldest of which was my mother. I grew up repulsed by the south and the stories I heard about the violence to black people.
I was obviously a perceptive little kid and chose sides as a child.

The Tennessee GOP is using classic fascist methods. Distraction, misinformation, exaggeration, and misuse of power were all employed to create an illusion of illegality. The GOP is unwilling to address the expectation of the people of Tennessee to take action on gun control. Fascists eventually lose as the truth is exposed.
