Some more Taktfahrplan for #PACA 🇫🇷.

After 16 months, the French branch of the #Tenda line between #Nice -#BreilSurRoya will reopen for regular service on 15 December.

Trains will run daily at 2-hourly intervals and hourly during peak times (including weekends). On workdays additional trains run from/to #Drap. As before, only three train pairs run from/to #Tende (+4 pairs Ventimiglia<>Cuneo).

However, the symmetry minute is 15/45, not 00/30.

#SudAzur gets you from Nice to #Tende gratis instead of being €15.80. Leave Nice at 09:15 arrive 11:33, have lunch in Tende, depart Tende on FS at 12:20 and arrive #Torino 14:35 for €8.50!

Wow, that's a cheap trip.

(You can change in #Breil too if you leave Nice a bit earlier, and the FS ticket to Torino is the same price either way.)

Now it's official: from tomorrow the new train pair between #Ventimiglia and #Cuneo via #Tende and Breil-sur-Roya will be operating. Departure from Cuneo at 8:41 am and from Ventimiglia at 2:55 pm.

Btw this year again an international ski shuttle train is running during the winter season between #Tende 🇫🇷 and #Limone 🇮🇹 allowing day trips to the italian ski resort at Limone (six daily train pairs).

Good news for the #Tenda railway line: From 2 April 2024 there will be again a fourth train pair between #Cuneo 🇮🇹 - #Tende 🇫🇷 - #Ventimiglia 🇮🇹.

However, there still seems to be disagreement between the two italian regions Piemonte and Liguria regarding the departure time at Ventimiglia.

Piemonte prefers a departure at 16:05 that might be better for commuters,
but since the tracks are occupied by ligurian regional trains, currently an earlier dep at 14:55 is planned.

@Sylvio c'est une catastrophe pour les habitants des vallée de la #roya #Vésubie et moins affecté la #Tinée . Les paysages ont été ravagé, des lits de rivières transformé. . Il faudra des années pour reconstruire, le village de #Tende reste difficilement accessible et en partie par train venant d'Italie et une piste forestière qui sera bientôt recouverte par la neige, les conséquences économique font craindre une exode des habitants durement éprouvé par la #TempeteAlex
