Small update, #selfhosting #music works like charm!
On #android I've switched to #tempus installed via @IzzyOnDroidOrg repo through @fdroidorg
It's updated regularly and more customizable that original #tempo app
My wife started to use it and for her
#android #Auto works, but you'll have to install the version with Google blobs from https://github.com/eddyizm/tempus/
Once she starts using something it means it's quite user friendly, so imho it's safe recommendation for everyone :)

I tried #LightweightMusicServer at the recommendation of the #Tempus author (https://lemmy.world/post/43688357/22411971). I find the interface/UX to be much better than navidrome, but unfortunately it's much worse than #navidrome at finding tags. It's also written in C++ rather than Go, so I'm not particularly inclined to fix the tagging. ☹️

Looks like #Tempo, an #Android client for the #selfhosted #music streaming service #Navidrome, hasn't been getting activity in a year despite many PRs, so someone forked it into #Tempus.

Jusqu'à présent j'utilisais le client #subsonic : #DSub pour accéder à mon compte #Funkwhale, mais il est un peu vieillot et il semble qu'il n'est plus vraiment maintenu.
Je vois qu'il existe un nouveau client qui a l'air plus récent: #Tempus , vais tester ca.

Hey! I guess I should make an #introduction post, though a lot of this stuff (particularly fandom stuff) is subject to change.

I’m #profic and #antiharassment; since the early days of the internet I’ve learned the adage “don’t like, don’t look”.

I’m a #vtuber in my spare time, though it’s more of a hobby than anything and this account is not meant to be connected to it.

I also love watching vtubers! I’m a massive #Holostars #Tempus fan; Magni Dezmond 🧤 and Gavis Bettel 🎩 are my oshis. I’ve also been trying to get into #Nijisanji streamers as well, but I’m fairly new to that side of the vtuber sphere and only primarily watch Vantacrow Bringer.

Current fandoms aside from vtubers are #HonkaiStarRail, #spiderverse, and #WelcomeHome, but I love a ton of different fandoms and I’m likely to jump around a lot.

I’m still figuring out the ins and outs of this platform, so thanks for baring with me. And #WelcomeToAethy.

#HA_Simon’s watchmaking parable about #Tempus (a lousy artisan) and #Hora (an industrial manufacturer) is missing the third watchmaker, #Aeon, that, after many years of trying, has found a way for the watches to build themselves.

Like #Tempus, #Aeon is also an #artisan because the watches are built from scratch using raw materials, rather than being assembled from prefabricated modular components.

Despite being blind, Aeon is a much better artisan, because these watches, besides (self)building themselves, are all in working order right from inception, and have the ability to preserve their best, stable intermediate forms.
