Digitaler Detox entschleunigt auch ungemein.
Wenn man nämlich nicht für alles ne "schnelle und bequeme" App nimmt und statt online mehr in Persona und vor Ort erledigt, dann muss man sich zwangsläufig mehr Zeit für einzelne Aufgaben nehmen und fängt an solche zu streichen, die eigentlich gar nicht so wichtig sind auf den zweiten Blick.
Die Aufgsbendichte wird geringer, ebenso oft die Ausgaben, denn den Aufwand betreibt man nur, wenn es sich lohnt.

The superego vehemently claims that the I don't get anything done. What it doesn't understand is that the outcome of work isn't just the tangible object. There are all sorts of other kinds of important work, if there is to be any tangible object at all.
During the past two years I've worked every day on my #temperantia project, and also started with typeface design. Among other things. And that's not nothing, even if virtually no one but me knows about it. Yet.
In short, the superego is wrong.

The last 3 or 4 months I've been working quite intensely with updating the #temperantia icon theme. Making icons is sometimes satisfying work, but just as often it's exhausting & even unrewarding. So, one morning I just felt I'd had enough and let everything go, picked up one of my drawing pads and some pens and drew an owl. The immediacy of pen against paper was just what I needed.

Last November I tooted about getting ready for the first release of #temperantia, the project I've been working on for the last couple of years, which include #GTK3 & #GNOMEShell themes, an icon theme, some color schemes, and wallpapers. Since then I've literally worked day and night, but it's still not finished. I've felt so much shame and embarrassment about this, and what better way to expel such emotional states than to publish my final TODOs. Because now it's happening for real. -
Fine friends of the night,
I can finally say that I'm in the final phase of the Sisyphean task of writing a #GTK3 & #GNOME Shell #stylesheet, which I call #temperantia.
There are still some minor bugs etc, but overall it's usable, for sure. Two features I especially enjoy is the ability to easily change any color, and how well it works on eg. tablets, due to it being scalable.
Some time later this year it'll be available from Codeberg, along w/ some icons, color schemes & wallpapers.
