Harvard study of 1K people who came to their center in Boston for testing found a 75% reduction in loss of telomere length over 4 years from 2K IU of vit D3 daily. Given Boston, likely these people were mostly vit D deficient to begin with. I'm not finding the free full text of the study, only articles about it like [1], and the study abstract [2].

Mutagenesis demonstrates that stabilization of the alternative CR4/5 conformation is detrimental to telomerase assembly and activity.
