The new Telegram update looks too much like iOS but I can't even be mad at it because it gets rid of the hamburger menu. :blobfoxheartcute: The hamburger menu was always awkward with weird options so it's nice to just have everything in bottom tabs instead. I hope they find a way to redesign the desktop app to get rid of it (maybe by borrowing some cues from the macOS app).
Like yeah, I wish it borrowed more from Android's design guidelines, but I really like the actual bones of it. :soft_shrug:

If you want to blur a spoiler-y or saucy picture/photo for your friends, Telegram has that feature. Just open up the media selection dialogue, select a photo, hit the three-dot menu, and select "Hide with spoiler" and viola! :pupper_wag:

Telegram is going to start moderating private chats. Which, like, I dunno, isn't great? Not that I don't think they shouldn't be removing illegal content, but based on how Patreon and other tech firms moderate babyfur content you'll excuse me if I don't welcome moderation into one-on-one chats :blobfoxcofeglare:
It says a lot that they'd rather put the resources into moderating their 950 million users than roll out proper end-to-end encryption for all of their chats to wash their hands of it. Make no mistake, they'd rather track your messages than actually give a private and secure messenger. There's no way Telegram isn't doing data collection on all of your messages, since there's no other explanation other than there being a profit motive on your data. :meowshrug:
