On the one hand, it's great to see increased connectivity in those areas, on the other hand, I am a bit concerned that a single legal entity has so much power about so many nations and their citizens.

#Telegeography estimates the global international #routing #bandwidth to be at around 5Pbps. The largest growing market is #Africa with a compound annual growth of almost 50% between 2019 to 2023. Great to see how they are slowly catching up and having more growth than any other region globally. The global average lies somewhere between 35-40%.
Furthermore, they show how some hyper-giant cloud and content providers having the lion's share of sub-nautical bandwidth.
A brief, but very interesting read I recommend to everyone!
