  6. I just watched Do Revenge and I really enjoyed it. How did I miss this one? Actually I know how. Based on the description it did not sound like it would be my cup of tea. High school drama has historically not been my thing. But lately the quality of this genre has really improved.

I realised the subject was not the problem. The way teen girls were portrayed for so long was really shallow and reductive. It didn't relate to my experience as an actual teen girl.

  7. What do you think the characters in your favourite teen movies are doing in 2023?

How have they changed since we last saw them?

Did Trump or Covid ever show up in their timelines? (I hope not!) 🤔

I’ve been having a wonderful time pondering these questions tonight. Please share your thoughts.

    Boosts are warmly welcomed.

  8. Day 04/10

    #10films 📽️

Classic teen movie. Not just for the 80s either. These are pretty much timeless themes and characters, although to be fair, some classic 80s tropes also kinda define this movie.

I remember hearing Cameron Crowe being interviewed about his story (for Rolling Stone iirc) and thinking this movie sounds awesome.

Classic scenes galore. That it's set in SoCal makes it particularly meaningful for me. 😎

  9. ⚡ Zapped! (1982)

Zapped! premiered #OTD in 1982, starring Scott Baio, Willie Aames and Heather Thomas in one of the most gloriously ridiculous entries in 80s teen comedies.

Just don’t try this at home…
