I really like your perception of a (historic) rude reinterpretation for the computer world.
The controversy around existing laws, and their relevance to AI, rarely excites me. The amplified noise in the Fediverse and elsewhere is, essentially, noise.
I'm genuinely more excited by the patents for a ninety-year-old record player in one of my spare rooms: <https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=128349>, <https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/@grahamperrin/111390448574924222> (<http://archive.today/2026.10.06-013330/https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/@grahamperrin/111390448574924222>).
I wonder … what thought, if any, will most people in the year 2116 give to a ninety-year-old controversy?
If we're lucky: a future researcher will find the tale of teddy boys, drunkenness, and a broken arm.
A broken arm that was neither biological, nor a robot …
