So far my experience of #TechMastadon has proved a better #TechTwitter than #Twitter ever was for me.

I guess I should properly introduce myself...

I'm EFG (my initials) and I'm a #freelance #GraphicDesigner and amateur #musician. I own a small design business called @EFG_creative (we do #design for #PerformingArts ) and I run an ever-growing community #orchestra.

I'm part of the #TwitterMigration from the intersection of #BlackTwitter , #DesignTwitter , #TechTwitter , #LGBTQTwitter , and #ADHDTwitter.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Mastodon and the future of social media.

It's great to see so many of the accounts I follow on the other site making their way over here. There are some notable exceptions though, mainly from #TechTwitter, could it be that they're Elon fans?

Seems to me too, that the vast majority of people making the switch are Europeans.

@thom I see comments pleasantly surprised at how many tech-focused writers/bloggers are already here. Unfortunately I still don’t see the same diversity here yet, but suggests to me that #TechTwitter is shifting. That’s a pretty big audience (and, cynically, “advertising dollars”) right there, unlikely to return.
