So the only thing I'm struggling with on my Mastodon instance is getting elasticsearch to work.

Any kind #mastodon #sysadmin #techs out there who managed to get this working and can give tips?

I am not even sure how important it is. But right now I can't get it to obey my customised memory heap sizes.

Every time I start elastic search and try to have rails initalise the search data, it just sends the server into a death spiral, and eventually kills elasticsearch with an OOM error.
