I’m really sick of people hounding 2FA over SMS. Yes it’s less secure than an Authenticator app, but it’s also more secure than just a password by itself. What’s the point of scaring people away from a step up in security when a lot of those people either don’t understand how to manage/use an authenticator, and would just drop SMS 2FA for only a password?
