Molemmat oikein hyviä laitteita vieläpä vastamelu ominaisuuksilla. Eivät olleet sika kalliita ja tarkoitukseesa oikein hyvin soveltuvia. en odata mitään hifistelyä vaan helppokäyttöistä ääntä.

Nyt kun mietin niin muistaakseni nintendo switch konsolissa oli sama ongelma...ja aikaisemmassa televisiossa...ja varmaan parissa muussakin uudessa vehkeessä.

Eilen ihmettelin että miksi ei kuulunut ääntä mutta paljastuikin että nuo napit oli vielä päällä ja kytkettyjä puhelimeen.

Onko vanha kunnon virta poikki kytkin mahdoton nyky eletroniikan kanssa? Tarvitseeko akkujen latailut aina jotain laitteiden inputtia niin paljon että emme voi enää käyttää kunnon kytkimiä?

Vertailun vuoksi toisessa kuvassa yksi lempi laitteistani kautta aikain: Gameboy Color. Kyljessä iso kytkin joka katkaisee yhteyden paristoihin. Ei mitään tulkinnanvaraa, NAPS ja virta on päällä tai poissa!

tbh the fact that Krita has the most powerful and amazing brush engine makes me giggle all the time. like, people pay for literal crap n spywhere and then ask which premium assets were used but the "premium assets" are just free brushes from a free drawing app :) never stops to make me feel satisfied. ngl i pity some of them who just never knew other options other than Adobe exist. but those who chose paid spyware? nay, i look down at them and am not ashamed. those who chose to support the enemy and to suffer in the process dont look like those who can change their mindsets, 'tis like donating to muskrat and sometimes 'tis even literally that. and they dont even get all the cool perks n features we have here in FOSS, wtf for what exactly they suffer if they dont even have anything real cool lol. like, i was an Apple user. involuntarily! but i still treat it as experience and think of it as a kinda valuable experience cuz i have all the rights to say how shitty Apple is in reality. oh fuck how i hate Apple, i could rant for whole days if i wanted to spoil my mood lol. they couldnt even steal the original code normally, they made that creepy abomination. and yet still my tech i bought for FOSS stuff costed me more than my Apple tech... amazes me every time but ig 'tis cuz my normal tech is actually good and reliable lol. and aye once again repeating it, Procreate is not suitable for dysfunctional folks, its UI was a fucking torture for me, it almost made me quit drawing cuz i was sure all apps are made this way, yet i risked and we got me a Tab for Krita and Krita appeared to be superb and a hundred times better than i expected. so, i better fr will just donate to FOSS guys when i can, enjoy their cool stuff and promote it.

and i finally made a discord account, damn it took me fr long with all the captchas (once the bitch would know my location is the UK it'd momentarily lock me behind the age verification crap lmao). prolly will be checking as seldom as i do with emails and use it for commissions later cuz i dont plan to upgrade my tuta account to make it a business one and i dont want to upgrade proton to be able to get a second account for that stuff. also lots of people have exactly discord instead of something normal like element etc, which makes me feel uncomfortable and tired. i will never be comfortable on platforms like discord and will never discuss anything personal there, all this shite is a pure unmasked spyware with zero protection and encryption and they all are fascist bootlickers with their age verification so kinda fuck them. but sadly i had to get an account there to stay in touch with some folks from artfight. nay, shitter or instacrap accounts are never gonna happen to me, discord was the lesser sacrifice to say so. i tbh cant get how the fuck people use signal messenger if this crap requires a phone verification, 'tis like the biggest red flag and i dont care how secure this shite is fr fr.

So, I’ll have to open commissions (aka art for money) one day soon. And am not gonna use PayPal cuz I’ve read too many stories how they screw up artists and just all the people plus I remember that they expose billing address (which is fuckinh insane, I hope they burn for it, where the fuck is my privacy and protection?!).

So, I’ve encountered that lots of artists use Stripe. It’s even used on Lorepository and other platforms. Also something called Square was mentioned as well.
So, my question is: are these anyhow better than PayPal or should I just stick to Monero (and get no commissions lmao, the main reason am researching this stuff is that no one’s gonna pay in crypto for art and it all angers and saddens me af tbh)? I would like the payment system to not farm my data, to not screw me up (am disabled, dysfunctional, our family’s having real hard times and we might not even survive this year, am not gonna allow some bitchass platform to screw me over fr), to not disclose billing information to the paying person or any other platform. If anything, I don’t draw NSFW or any adult content so I doubt I’ll get banned for porn but if a money processing platform bans NSFW artists it’s an inhumane and unsafe platform anyways…

Does this toot sound angry? Aye I bet it does. Cuz am very fuckinh angry, frustrated, upset and at my fuckong limit. I fucking dunno how to survive this fuckass capitalism, I’m almost giving up and all this shite only adds up to stress and concerns!

Or I fucking dunno, if all of the platforms are like this, how the fuck are you folks getting money for digital art? Like, queer persons, minorities, endangered persons, etc? How the fuck do you protect your data and your money, from harmful bitches, scammers, big tech and those platforms themselves?

And aye, am all about spreading kindness and I do love people dearly, but am no delusional and fully aware that scammers exist alongside with big tech and every other bitch out there. They’re kinda the reason I choose to not be like them ig.

somehow I had saved “My Location” as the name of a place in Apple Maps and when I tried to get directions to the actual named destination, it could not and threw me in a frustrating loop. My relationship w/Odoo is tumultuous. He's needy & there's times when we have problems & can't find the right words to articulate the problem. I find plenty of bad relationship advice online from other broken-hearted, frustrated users. Sometimes there are success stories and I'm jealous. We can be at odds for days and days, and it's utter hell. And then finally I find the right thing to ask & he opens up & we fall in love again. Unfortunately, no makeup sex.

Most phone apps are replacable with pen and paper. Rest of the apps rarely really need internet acces.

If you develop something that can be done using notebook (the analog kind) then dont. Focus on something that makes sense digitally.

If you develop something that uses the net ask why it needs it?

...also when did we start to call programs apps?

What are some software annoyances that make no sense still existing in 2025?

I'll start:
How is there no "Switch default account" button for Google accounts still? If you use more than 1 Google account (YouTube, Gmail, Calendar, etc) and want to change which account is automatically loaded, then you need to log out of all your accounts and then make sure that the first one you log back into, is the one you want as your default.

И да, сервера строго в Германии, потому что если уж быть заложником системы, то хотя бы с немецким паспортом. Tutanota — это не «почта нового поколения», это скорее почта без почты. Без протоколов, без совместимости, без вариантов. Полностью безопасно, потому что полностью изолировано. Лучше сразу голубями, там хотя бы SMTP не нужен.

Spent better part of last night, running around the office building and borrowing HDMI capable displays. And no fucking dice (8 displays, 3 cables, and 2 DP converters tried, thus at least 48 combinations). This industrial Intel based board is just not compatible anymore with modern displays and resolutions. So how the fuck am I going to get into it's highly guarded BIOS?

-ENG: There needs to be a reckoning and admit that when "tech" companies promote anything "SMART" it's a euphemism that means SURVEILLANCE and as Customers we SHOULD RESIST AT ALL COST, make them admit it and ask our permission.
